Rep. Rymer Gaveled in for 2026 Session
Saint Paul, MN- The 2026 Legislative Session officially started today, and Max Rymer (R–North Branch) was one of 67 House Republicans in attendance to begin the session. The Minnesota House of Representatives remains tied 67–67, meaning both parties will face many of the same challenges and procedural hurdles as last year under divided control.
Representative Rymer emphasized the importance of working across the aisle while standing firm on Republican priorities, including fiscal responsibility, government accountability, and strengthening public safety.
“A priority of mine this session will be cracking down on fraud and strengthening oversight of taxpayer-funded programs. House Republicans have made it clear that restoring trust in government requires stronger safeguards, increased transparency, and real consequences for those who misuse public dollars. Protecting hardworking Minnesotans’ tax dollars will remain a top priority, and meaningful reforms are needed to prevent fraud before it happens."
“In addition, ensuring safer communities across the state will remain front and center. I am committed to supporting law enforcement, holding violent offenders accountable, and advancing policies that keep neighborhoods safe for families and small businesses. By prioritizing public safety and responsible governance, I will work to help build stronger, more secure communities throughout Minnesota.”
