(St. Paul) -- State Representative Carl Jacobson (R-Vadnais Heights) announced today that he will host a "Day at the Capitol" for the citizens of House District 53B. The area lawmaker is inviting citizens to spend a day with him in St. Paul for a behind-the-scenes look at the state legislature and Minnesota government.
"I am hoping that folks from our area will be able to spend a day at the Capitol with me," said Jacobson. "We'll tour the State Capitol, watch the House in Session, and attend a committee meeting together. It will be a chance for local citizens to see and interact with their citizen-legislature."
House District 53B Day at the Capitol will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2001. Participants will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the State Office Building, and stay in the Capitol complex area until around 4:00 p.m. The public is encouraged and invited to attend. Please RSVP by March 7, 2001 to 651-296-7153.
