JACOBSON ANNOUNCES OPPORTUNITY TO RECOGNIZE GREAT TEACHERS

To the Editor:

Few people have the ability to impact the lives of children as much as teachers. Great teachers are patient encouragers, working long hours to inspire students to discover the world around them. Minnesota's future is bright because it is being formed by talented teachers in classrooms across the state.

Do you know a great teacher? Someone who deserves recognition for his or her work who could serve as a proud spokesperson for teaching and learning? If so, I encourage you to nominate that special person for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year program. Nominations are now open for the award, which culminates on October 14 with the announcement of the new Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
