ST. PAUL State Representative Erik Paulsen of Eden Prairie is among a group of legislators who have volunteered to appear at the Minnesota House of Representatives' information exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair, which opens August 24 and continues through September 4.
Rep. Paulsen will be on hand on Saturday, August 26th from 10 a.m. to noon to greet visitors and to answer questions about state government and the legislative process.
The House will be at the fair for the 27th year in an effort to bring government closer to the people. Fairgoers will be able to participate in a public opinion poll focusing on key legislative issues, and computerized quizzes will test visitors' knowledge of Minnesota history and new laws passed in 2000. The exhibit will also feature the Minnesota State Symbols game for children.
The House booth will be on the east side of the Education Building on Cosgrove Street, next to the Minnesota Senate booth. The House exhibit will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Stop by and take part in the Great Minnesota Get Together.
