ST. PAUL-- Rep. Rich Stanek announced today a new approach to keeping constituents informed about happenings at the state capitol in 2002. Stanek and a group of other Republicans in the Minnesota House are reaching out this year with email-based constituent newsletters.
"With the wide-reaching capabilities of the Internet and e-mail, it is easier than ever for interested citizens to stay informed about issues at the state capitol," Stanek said. "I want to take that one step further and offer a weekly update of happenings in state government that directly affect my constituents in District 33B."
Under the plan, anyone who wants to subscribe to the updates can sign up by going to Stanek's official House website at www.house.mn/33B and clicking on the "Join my Mailing List" link. A subscriber can opt to remove their name from the mailing list at any time.
Minnesotans can also get information from the House Republican website at http://www.house.mn/gop or at the House Public Information Office at http://www.house.leg.state.mn.us/hinfo/hinfo.asp.
