ST. PAUL State Representative Barb Sykora (R-District 43B) and State Senator Ed Oliver (R-District 43) are hosting three town hall meetings in the Lake Minnetonka area to discuss issues that will be debated during the upcoming 2002 Legislative Session. The two lawmakers invite citizens to come share their thoughts and ideas on how the Legislature and Governor Ventura should address the state's budget deficit.
The first meeting is on Thursday, January 31, at 7 p.m. in the Deephaven City Council Chambers, located at 20225 Cottagewood Road. The second meeting is on Saturday, February 2, at 9 a.m. in the Minnetonka City Council Chambers, located at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd. The third meeting also is on Saturday, February 2, but at 11 a.m. in the Excelsior City Council Chambers, located at 339 3rd Street.
Lake Minnetonka area communities represented by Sykora and Oliver at the Capitol include Minnetonka, Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Minnetonka Beach, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Woodland, Chanhassen and Orono.
