1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
1.4An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution is proposed to the people. If the amendment
1.5is adopted, a section shall be added to article I, to read:
1.6Sec. 18. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the state or
1.7the political subdivision of the state on account of sex.

1.8    Sec. 2. SUBMISSION TO VOTERS.
1.9(a) The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at the 2024 general election.
1.10If ratified, the amendment is effective January 1, 2025. The question submitted must be:
1.11"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to say that equality of rights under the
1.12law shall not be denied or abridged by the state or the political subdivision of the state on
1.13account of sex?

1.14		Yes .....
1.15		No .....	"

1.16(b) The title required under Minnesota Statutes, section 204D.15, subdivision 1, for the
1.17question submitted to the people under paragraph (a) shall be: "Minnesota Equal Rights
1.18Amendment.""
1.19Amend the title accordingly
