MINUTES
Representative Fran Bradley, Chair of the Health Policy & Finance Committee, called the fifth meeting to order at 10:16 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 10:20 a.m.
A presentation/overview on the January 2005 Report to the Legislature of the Health Care Services Study was made by:

Rep. Samuelson moved approval of the minutes of Wednesday, January 19, 2005.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. The minutes were approved.
Chairman Bradley announced that at the Committee’s next meeting, Wednesday, January 26, at 10:15 a.m. in Room 10, State Office Building, the Committee will hear testimony on HF 405 (Meslow) Freedom to Breathe Act of 2005 established requiring persons to refrain from smoking in certain areas including places of employment, public transportation, bars, and restaurants. On Thursday, January 27, the Committee will debate the bill and consider amendments.
Rep. Abeler, Chair of the Health Care Cost Containment Division, announced that the Health Care Cost Containment Division will meet Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at 4:30 p.m., in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
Chairman Bradley informed members of the Committee that the Committee Rules have been finalized and inserted in members’ folders.
At 11:17 a.m., Vice Chair Finstad assumed the gavel.
