MINUTES


Representative Fran Bradley, Chair of the Health Policy and Finance Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 10:18 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Emmer moved approval of the minutes of February 24, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The minutes were approved.

HF 572 (Johnson) Methamphetamine precursor drug sales regulated, reporting of suspicious activity authorized, education program for retailers required, criminal penalties increased, violent crime definition expanded, and money appropriated.

Rep. Bradley moved HF 572 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions.

Rep. Bradley moved to amend HF 572 (see Amendment A05-0104 attached).

Rep. Johnson explained Amendment A05-0104. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Bradley renewed his motion that HF 572, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF588 (Wilkin) Small employer group health coverage flexible benefits plans authorized.

Rep. Wilkin moved HF 588 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Wilkin renewed his motion that HF 588 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The next meeting of the Health Policy & Finance Committee will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:17 p.m.
