MINUTES


Representative Paulsen, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration called the nineteenth meeting to order at 10:02 A.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, in Room 118 of the State Capitol.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

The first matter under consideration was the approval of the minutes from the meeting on Monday, May 16, 2005.

Rep. Tingelstad moved that the minutes be approved.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE MINUTES FROM THE MEETING ON MONDAY, MAY 16, 2005 WERE APPROVED.

The second matter under consideration was the Proposed Supplemental Calendar for the Day for Tuesday, May 17, 2005.

Rep. Johnson moved that the Proposed Supplemental Calendar for the Day be approved.

The MOTION PREVAILED; THE PROPOSED SUPPLEMENTAL CALENDAR FOR THE DAY FOR TUESDAY MAY 17, 2005 WAS APPROVED.

The third matter under consideration was S.F.2259 (Howes).

Rep. Paulsen moved that S.F.2259 be recommended to pass.

Rep. Howes explained why S.F.2259 did not meet committee deadlines.

Discussion.


Rep. Paulsen renewed his motion that S.F.2259 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

The MOTION PREVAILED; S.F.2259 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND BE PLACED ON THE GENERAL REGISTER.

The fourth matter under consideration was H.F.2448 (Bradley).

Rep. Paulsen moved that H.F.2448 be recommended to pass and, pursuant to Joint Rule 2.03, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Rep. Bradley explained why H.F.2448 did not meet committee deadlines.

Rep. Paulsen renewed his motion that H.F.2448 be recommended to pass and, pursuant to Joint Rule 2.03, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

The MOTION PREVAILED; H.F.2448 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND, PURSUANT TO JOINT RULE 2.03, WASE RE-REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS.

The meeting adjourned at 10:05 A.M.
