Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:09 P.M. on March 15, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Anderson moved that the minutes of March 13, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1314 (Atkins) Truth in Music Advertising Act adopted regulating the advertising of live musical performances.

Representative Lillie assumed the gavel at 4:10 p.m.

Representative Lillie moved HF 1314.

HF 740 (Mahoney) Price gouging prohibited on essential consumer good and services including food, water, fuel, gasoline, medical supplies, and other items; and enforcement authority provided.

Representative Mahoney moved HF 740.

Representative Mahoney moved that HF 740 be laid on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 556 (Beard) Airport safety zones transfers of real property disclosure requirements clarified.
Representative Zellers moved HF 556.

Representative Zellers moved the H556DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Zellers moved that HF 556, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1656 (Thissen) Jewelry products containing lead manufacture and sale regulated.

Representative Lillie moved HF 1656.

Representative Lillie moved to orally amend HF 1656 as follows: delete subd. 6 THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
