MINUTES


Representative Tom Rukavina, Chair of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 1:15 P.M. on, Thursday, January 11, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Rukavina asked the students present to begin their testimony, as follows:

Nicki Bottko, student at St. Paul College, provided testimony regarding her personal experiences with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Ms. Bottko responded to questions from members.

Representative Norton moved that the minutes of January 10, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION
PREVAILED.

Howard Books, student at Inver Hills Community College, provided testimony regarding his personal experiences with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Mr. Books responded to questions from members.

Travis Petschl, Century College, provided testimony regarding his personal experience with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Mr. Petschl responded to questions from members.

Jaime Lind, Anoka Ramsey Community College, Cambridge Campus, provided testimony regarding her personal experiences with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Ms. Lind responded to questions from members.


Roxanne White, North Hennepin Community College, Brooklyn Park, provided testimony regarding her personal experiences with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Ms. White responded to questions from members.

Thomas Raddatz, Anoka Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids, provided testimony regarding his personal experiences with Minnesota's higher education and financial aid systems. Mr. Raddatz responded to questions from members.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 P.M.
