EIGHTY-FIFTH SESSION FORTY-THIRD MEETING




HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE DIVISION

Chair Thomas Huntley called the forty-third meeting to order at 1:27 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Chair asked the two committee pages to introduce themselves. They are Caroline Magnuson of Duluth, Minnesota, and James Mackey of Minneapolis. It is James' second year as a page for this committee.

At 1:28 p.m., Co-chair Larry Hosch took the gavel.

Representative Huntley moved HF 2091 before the Division and further moved the H2091DE2 amendment. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Huntley presented the delete-all amendment and discussion followed.

Representative Abeler moved to upgrade Ah-Gwah-Ching Regional Treatment Center, Moose Lake MSOP expansion-phase 2 on lines 1.21 and 1.22 from a medium priority to a high priority. Following discussion, the motion prevailed.

Co-chair Hosch moved HF 2091, the H2091DE2 amendment, as further amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Finance Committee with a recommended re-referral to the Capital Investment Committee. The motion prevailed.


Representative Abeler moved approval of the February 19, 2008, minutes. The motion prevailed.

Co-chair Hosch adjourned the meeting at 1:37 p.m.
