MINUTES


Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the Joint Meeting of the Public Safety Finance Division and the Public Safety and Civil Justice Committee the twenty-seventh meeting to order at 2:35 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2007 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

qualified domestic violence-related offenses defined.

HF1273 (Kranz) Sexual assault counselors testimonial confidentiality provided, "mistake of age"
defense eliminated for certain criminal sexual assault offenders, and penalties enhanced for nonconsensual sexual contact committed by massage professionals.

Rep. Lesch moved adoption of the Crime Victim subcommittee engrossment report on HF1273. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

HF1354 (Paymar) Criminal sexual conduct victims polygraph requirement prohibited.

HF1841 (Simon) Domestic abuse victims right to terminate lease granted.
