MINUTES


Representative Debra Hilstrom, Chair of the Local Government & Metropolitan Affairs Committee started the 30th meeting at 10:05 am on Friday March 14, 2008 in Room 500N of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2600 (Kelliher): Minneapolis; Interstate Highway 394 engine brakes use restriction authorized.

Speaker Kelliher presented HF2600 and took questions from the committee.

A quorum was present at 10:16 am and the meeting was officially called to order.

Chair Hilstrom moved that HF2600 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the Committee on Transportation Finance & Policy.

HF1097 (Davnie): Dependent definition modified to group benefits for local government officers and employees.

Chair Hilstrom moved that HF1097 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Chair Hilstrom accepted the friendly amendment and incorporated it into the oral amendment.
