Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:06 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF647 (Dittrich) Residential homestead market value credit modified.
Representative Dittrich moved that HF647 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report
Representative Dittrich testified on behalf of the bill. Mary Anne Razim-Fitzsimons, a citizen, testified on in favor of the bill. Keith Carlson, Executive Director of the Minnesota Inter-County Association, testified in favor of the bill.
Steve Hinze, Research Analyst for House Research, testified about technical element of the bill.

Representative Marquart, Chair of the Division, explained that this bill will be heard today and laid over at a future meeting after her bill has been introduced.

HF134 (Jaros) Duluth food and beverage sales tax increase authorized, and proceeds allocated to renovations and a new arena at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center.
