MINUTES


Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order at 10:20 PM on Wednesday, May 05, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mahoney moved that the minutes of May 4, 2010 be adopted as presented
THE MOTION PREVAILED

Agenda:
HF2431 (Greiling) Policy and funding for early childhood through grade 12 education provided including general education, education excellence, special programs, facilities and technology, account, state agencies, pupil transportation, education finance reform, forecast adjustments, early childhood education, prevention, self-sufficiency, and lifelong learning, and money appropriated.

Representative Solberg announced that HF2431 has been removed from the agenda and will be heard at a different time.




HF3051 (Dill) Omnibus lands bill.

Representative Faust moved that HF3051 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Dill presented HF3051.

Representative McNamera moved to amend HF3051 as follows: page 8, delete Section 13, lines 8.21 thru 9.29.
THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Kathy Lewis, Department of Natural Resources, testified on behalf of HF3051.

Representative Faust renewed his motion that HF3051 pass and be placed on the General Register.
THE MOTION PREVAILED

HF3124 (Dill) Agriculture provisions modified, taking, possessing, and transporting wild animals provisions modified, fish and wildlife management plan requirements modified, and game and fish license provisions modified.

Representative McNamara moved that HF3124 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Dill explained HF3124.

Representative McNamara renewed his motion that HF3124 pass and be placed on the General Register.
THE MOTION PREVAILED

The Committee adjourned at 11:45 PM.
