Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:38
A.M. on March 4th, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids moved HF102 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF102-Slawik-Oakdale; Technical corrections made in the city's authority to establish tax increment financing districts.

Testifying on behalf of HF102: Bob Streetar, Community Development Director, City of Oakdale

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF102 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Brod moved HF844 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF844-Brod-Permitted time to file claims for refunds modified.
Representative Brod moved amendment H0844DE1. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on behalf of HF844: Robert Stuart, Tax Law Section, Minnesota State Bar Association.

Representative Brod renewed her motion that HF844 be laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Reinert moved HF268 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF268-Welti-Published delinquent tax list correction permitted.

Testifying on behalf of HF268: Keith Carlson, Minnesota Inter-County Association; Sandy Neren, Minnesota Newspaper Association.

Representative Reinert renewed his motion that HF268 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Solberg moved HF401 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF401-Solberg-Solicitor defined for nexus purposes.

Representative Solberg withdrew his motion.

Representative Rukavina moved HF526.

HF526-Otremba-Tax filing requirements modified.

Representative Rukavina moved amendment H0526A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Rukavina renewed his motion that HF526 be laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Rep Solberg moved HF401 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Testifying on HF401: Beth Kadoun, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Revenue; Buzz Anderson, Minnesota Retailers Association; Tom Hesse, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF401 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.
