MINUTES
Representative Juhnke, Chair of Committee on Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 10:42 AM on March 10, 2010 in the Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Brown moves that the minutes from March 3, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
Rep. Juhnke moved that HF3438 (Juhnke) Veteran home appropriation designation removed; be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.
Rep. Juhnke moved to amend HF3438 (see attached amendment
H3438DE1). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Jim Reinholdz, House Fiscal Analyst, presented HF3438, as amended. Discussion and questions followed.
Gene Hugoson and Quinn Cheney, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, provided testimony on HF3438, as amended.
Representative Faust moved to amend HF3438, as amended (see attached amendment
H3438A1). THE MOTION FAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
Jim Reinholdz answered further questions on the bill. Discussion and questions followed.
Representative Juhnke renewed the motion that HF3438, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
