Representative Mary Murphy and Representative Jean Wagenius, Chairs, called the first meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present
Chair Wagenius introduced the testifier
Deborah Swackhamer of Stillwater, Professor at the University of Minnesota, testified to the Minnesota Statewide Conservation and Preservation Plan
Dr. Swackhamer answered questions from the joint committee focusing on the recommendations contained within the Minnesota Statewide Conservation and Preservation Plan
The meeting was adjourned at 10:04 a.m.
