MINUTES


Representative Murphy, Cultural and Outdoor Resources Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M. on March 1, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

Al Harmon, President, MN Public Television Association, Bill Sanford, General Manager, Lakeland Public Television Bemidji, and Les Heen, General Manager, Pioneer Public Television Appleton, presented public television’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

A quorum was present at 4:35 P.M.

Chair Murphy distributed a letter to the committee members from the Mille Lacs Band of Chippewa Indians.

John Edman, Executive Director, Explore Minnesota Tourism, presented Explore Minnesota Tourism’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Jim Gullickson, President, KMSU-FM, Minnesota State University, AMPERS, presented the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations’ response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Jeff Nelson, Public Affairs Director, Minnesota Public Radio, and Lisa Radzak, Community Engagement Manager, Minnesota Public Radio, presented Minnesota Public Radio’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Stanley Romanstein, Executive Director, Minnesota Humanities Commission, presented the Minnesota Humanities Commission’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Paul Erickson, Executive Director, Amateur Sports Commission, presented the Amateur Sports Commission’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Amy Walstien, Government Relations Director, Minnesota Department of Education, and Suzanne Miller, State Librarian, Minnesota Department of Education presented the Library’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Lucinda Winter, Executive Director, Minnesota Film and TV Board, and Bill Anderson, Board Member, Minnesota Film and TV Board presented the Minnesota Film and TV Board’s response to the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Representative Morgan moved the minutes of February 22, 2010 be adopted.
