MINUTES


Representative Murphy, Cultural and Outdoor Resources Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. on March 15, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Michael Garcia, President and Chief Executive Officer, Duluth Children’s Museum, presented the Duluth Children’s Museum’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Denise Fosse, Chief Development Officer, Minnesota Children’s Museum, presented the Minnesota Children’s Museum’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Al Harmon, President, Minnesota Public Television Association, and Dianne Steinbach, Executive Director, Twin Cities Public Television, presented Public Television’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Brenda Raney, Director of Government Relations, Science Museum of Minnesota, presented the Science Museum’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Pam Paulson, Senior Director of Policy, Perpich Center for the Arts, and Sue Mackert, Executive Director, Perpich Center for the Arts, presented the Perpich Center for the Arts’ report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Sue Gens, Executive Director, Minnesota State Arts Board, presented the Arts Board’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Karen Klinzing, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Education, and Suzanne Miller, State Librarian, Department of Education, presented the library’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Representative Haws moved the minutes of March 10, 2010 be adopted.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 P.M.
