Representative Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division, called the meeting to order at 1:05 P.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Rosenthal moved the minutes from January 28, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Peter McLauglin, Commissioner, Hennepin County, shared the Counties Transit Improvement Board (CTIB) annual report with the committee.
HF116 (Ward) Type III school bus driver qualifications modified. Rep.. Hornstein moved that HF116 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Transportation Finance Division for rereferral to the K-12 Education Policy Committee. The following spoke to HF116:

Rep. Hornstein renewed his motion that HF116 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Transportation Finance Division for rereferral to the K-12 Education Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Mike Schadauer, Director, MnDOT Office of Transit gave an update on their transit plan.
