MINUTES


Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Division, called the tenth meeting to order at 1:09 P.M. on, March 18, 2009, in the 400 North hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davnie called the meeting to order at 1:09 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Mahoney moved approval of HF1169 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF1169 (Rukavina) Public employer purchases and acquisitions of equipment and apparel regulated.

Grace Keliher - MSBA

Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF1169 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.



Representative Fritz moved approval of HF326 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF326 (Clark) Bisphenol-A prohibited in products for young children.

Representative Fritz moved approval of amendment H0326A1.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Davnie laid the bill over.


Representative Davnie moved approval of HF458 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF458 (Thissen) Consumer product development and regulation advisory council created, and comprehensive framework established for consumer products that protect, support, and enhance human health, the environment, and economic development, and appointments provided.

Representative Davnie moved approval of amendment H0458DE1.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Davnie moved the oral amendment to the H0458DE1 amendment.
On page 1, line 1.18 insert "and" after member
On page 1, delete line 1.19
On page 1, line 1.20 delete "7" and insert "6".
The oral amendment was incorporated.

Representative Davnie renewed his motion that HF458 be recommended to pass as amended and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.



Representative Solberg moved approval of HF968 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF968 (Hosch) Board of Residential Construction established, license regulation modified.

Representative Solberg assumed the chair.

Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF968 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.

Representative Zellers moved approval of HF1364 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF1364 (Gunther) School district boiler operator training required.

Representative Mahoney second author of HF1364, presented the bill.

Testimony was given by:
Grace Keliher - MSBA

Representative Zellers renewed his motion that HF1364 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.
