MINUTES


Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the twenty-third meeting to order at 10:40 A.M. on April 1, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Norton moved approval of the Minutes from the March 31, 2009 meeting.
MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Representative Beard presented H.F. 2170, a bill related to

economic development; promoting a science and technology initiative; creating a commission; establishing a center; creating economic development grant programs


Testifying on H.F. 2170:

Dr. Robert Hoerr, Nanocopoeia and MN Nano Board Member
Robert Johnson, Bois Forte

Representative Mahoney laid over H.F. 2170 for future discussion.

The Committee was adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
