MINUTES
Representative Peppin, Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the fifty eighth meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

Representative Scalze moved that the minutes of Thursday March 8, Friday March 9, and Tuesday March 13, 2012 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF2508 (Barrett) State-controlled substance schedules aligned with federal controlled substance schedules, Board of Pharmacy’s controlled substance regulation authority modified, and penalties provided.
Chair Peppin moved that HF2508 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.
The committee heard testimony on HF2508.

Representative Murray moved that HF2212 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Chair Peppin moved to orally amend HF2212 as follows:
Page 1, line 9 after the period insert "the cost of artistic featuers that improve the safety of the building are not included in the $100,000 limit."
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Scalze moved to orally amend HF2212 as follows:
Page 1, line 9 insert after previous amendment "The $100,000 limit does not apply to the State Capitol Building."
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Peppin announced that the bill would be laid over.

HF2788 (Peppin) Three Rivers Park District two appointed members election provided.
Chair Peppin moved that HF2788 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.
Chair Peppin moved the H2788A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED, AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
