PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIME PREVENTION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the fifty-third meeting to order at 10:19 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith moved that the minutes of March 13, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Woodard assumed the gavel at 10:23 a.m.

HF2470 (Cornish) Criminal intelligence data classified under the Data Practices Act.

Chairman Cornish moved that HF2470 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2470.

Chairman Cornish assumed the gavel at 12:05 p.m.

HF2435 (Woodard) Fusion center to assist with detection, prevention, and investigation of, and response to criminal and terrorist activities provided.

Representative Woodard moved that HF2435 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2435.

Representative Woodard moved the H2435A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
