MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:21 a.m. on March 22, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Lanning presented the House State Government Finance Omnibus bill.

State Auditor Rebecca Otto testified on the appropriations allotment for the Office of the State Auditor and county audits policy in the Omnibus bill.

Richard Kolodjieski, Legislative Affairs Director for the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE) testified on several Omnibus bill provisions.

Russ Stanton, Director of Government Relations for the Inter-Faculty Organization (IFO) testified on the pay freeze policy in the Omnibus.

Robert Johnson, Lobbyist for Teamsters Local 320 testified on the Omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:40 a.m.

Introduction of omnibus bill
Begin Testimony on omnibus bill
Witnesses may testify for up to two minutes. The chair reserves the right to limit testimony. Written testimony will also be accepted. Witnesses should email Johnna O'Neill, CLA, and provide the following information: name, organization, contact info, and issue of interest: johnna.oneill@house.mn.
Amendments are due by noon on Wednesday, March 23.
