MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. on April 29, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representatives Downey, Greene, Gunther, Hayden, Leidiger, Slawik, and Winkler were excused.

Representative McFarlane; Joe Mathews, Policy Analyst for the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC); and Nate Burkett, County Administrator for Todd County testified on HF 1579.

A quorum was present.

Chair Lanning moved HF 1579.

Chair Lanning moved the HF1579A3 amendment to HF 1579.

Chair Lanning withdrew the HF1579A3 amendment to HF 1579.

Chair Lanning laid over HF 1579 for further consideration when a fiscal note is available.

Chair Lanning moved HF 1332.

Representative Hansen and Jim Nobles, Legislative Auditor testified on HF 1332.

Chair Lanning moved that HF 1332 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Lanning moved HF 182.

Representative Beard and Lisa Frenette of Frenette Legislative Advisors, representing the Builders Association of Minnesota testified on HF 182.

Chair Lanning moved that HF 182 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Lanning moved that HF 174 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Lanning moved the H0174A2 amendment to HF 174. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Lanning renewed his motion that HF 174, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:22 a.m.
