MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:18 a.m. on February 21, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Gunther moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 16, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1974(Drazkowski) Public employee contract terms discontinuance in effect provided after expiration of a collective bargaining agreement.

Representative Benson moved that HF1974 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Urdahl moved the H1974A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF1974, as amended.

Representative Benson moved to orally amend HF1974: line 1.9 before "during" insert "(a)". THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Melin requested a roll call vote on HF1974.

Representative Benson renewed his motion that HF1974 be recommended to pass, as amended and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2007(Kahn) Consolidating counties and rationalizing other internal boundaries feasibility study required, and money appropriated.

Representative Kahn moved that HF2007 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2007.
