MINUTES

Representative Holberg, Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, called the meeting to order at 5:30 on April 2, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hamilton moved to approve the minutes from the committee meetings on March 27, 2012, March 28, 2012, and March 29, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF1543 (Mack): Medical assistance (MA) community paramedic services reimbursement coverage authorization.

Representative Holberg moved SF 1543 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that SF 1543 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF518 (Leidiger): State-aid program rulemaking authority amended, fund allocation from overdimension motor vehicle permits amended, legislative report required on water permitting process for transportation projects, and clarifying and technical changes made.

Representative Holberg moved HF 518 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Holberg moved the H0518A1-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg moved to orally amend HF 518, as amended, as follows:

Page 7, line 3, delete "November 15, 2012" and insert "January 15, 2013"

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that HF 518, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF946 (Erickson): School districts joint operation and innovative delivery of education pilot project establishment.

Representative Garofalo moved SF 946 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Garofalo moved the S0946A11 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Garofalo renewed his motion that SF 946, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2065 (Nornes): Omnibus higher education bill.

Representative Rukavina moved HF 2065 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Nornes moved the H2065A17-2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
