MINUTES

Representative Clark, Chair of Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the twenty-first meeting to order at 12:35pm on 3/3/2014 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Clark moved that HF2031 be re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment.

Representative Hausman presented HF2031 (Hausman). Public rehabilitation and debt service on additional housing infrastructure bonds issued by the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Clark renewed her motion that HF2031 (Hausman) be re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment. MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice-Chair Bly assumed the chair at 1:10pm.

Representative Clark moved HF2116.

Representative Clark presented HF2116 (Clark). Homeownership grants provided for families with children with disabilities, and money appropriated.

Representative Clark moved to amend HF2116. See attached H2116DE2. MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF2116 as amended was laid over.

Chair Clark reassumed the chair at 1:45pm.

Representative Isaacson moved that HF2192 be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Allen presented HF2192 (Allen). Termination of lease upon infirmity provided.

Representative Isaacson renewed the motion that HF2192 (Allen) be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Clark moved that HF2151 (Mullery) be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Mullery presented HF2151 (Mullery). Residential lease violation duty to mitigate damages created.

Chair Clark moved to amend HF2151. See attached H2151A1. MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Clark renewed the motion that HF2151 as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hertaus moved that the minutes of April 5, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Representative Hertaus moved that the minutes of January 29, 2014 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15pm.
