MINUTES

Representative Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. on March 10th, 2016, in Hearing Room Ten of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Scott called the Meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Lesch moved to re-approve the minutes of January 20th, January 27th, February 3rd, February 5th, February 10th, February 12th, February 17th, February 24th, and March 12th of 2015 as corrected. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hoppe moved to approve the minutes of April 21st, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2602 (Scott)
Private and nonpublic data use restricted to only purpose authorized by law.

Chair Scott moved that HF2602 be re-referred to the General Register.

Testifying on HF2602:
Chair Peggy Scott
Keith Carlson, Minnesota Inter-County Association.

Chair Scott moved that HF2602 be laid on the table for future consideration.

HF2515 (Smith)
Probate provisions modified.

Representative Smith moved that HF2515 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention.

Representative Smith moved the 2515A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Smith renewed his motion that HF2515 be re-refereed as amended to the Committee on Public Safety and Crime Prevention. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2294 (Smith)
Marriage license issuance waiting period eliminated.

Representative Smith moved that HF2294 be re-refereed to the General Register.

Mark Chapin, Auditor, Treasurer and Director of Licensing Hennepin County.

Representative Smith renewed his motion that HF2294 be re-refereed to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
