MINUTES

Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:13 P.M. on March 14th, 2018 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Erickson moved that the minutes of March 13, 2017 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2846, 2nd Engrossment, Christensen, Special education working group established, and report required.

Representative Erickson moved HF2846, 2nd Engrossment, be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Erickson testified on HF2846, 2nd Engrossment.

Representative Sandstede moved the H2846A11 amendment. THE ADOPTION WAS ADOPT-ED.

Representative Loon laid over HF2846, 2nd Engrossment, as amended, for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later date.

HF2877 O’Neill, Monticello School District; Special Education Adjustment.

Representative Loon moved that HF2877 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative O’Neill testified on HF2877.

HF3013, First Engrossment, Runbeck, Reading preparation for teachers.

Representative Loon moved that HF3013, First Engrossment, be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Loon moved the A18-0591 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Runbeck testified on HF3013, First Engrossment, as amended.
