MINUTES

Chair Dean began the meeting at 1:05 PM on March 1, 2018, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

At 1:06, a quorum was present and Chair Dean officially called the meeting to order.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Murphy moved the minutes of February 28, 2018 for approval. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Department of Health and Human Services provided an update on the February Forecast as it relates to Health and Human Services.

The Minnesota Management and Budget Office presented an update on the February Forecast as it relates to Human Services and the Health Care Access Fund.

The Minnesota Department of Commerce gave an update on the 1332 Waiver Minnesota Premium Security Plan.

Peter Brickwedde, Assistant Commissioner of Government and External Affairs, Minnesota Department of Commerce

The Minnesota Department of Human Services provided an update on the February Forecast as it relates to the Children’s Health Insurance Program and Basic Health Plan Funding.

Dave Greeman, Budget Director, Minnesota Department of Human Services

The Minnesota Management and Budget Office gave an update on the Minnesota Insurance Premium Rebate Program.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on the toxic PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals) in the drinking water of the East Metro.
