MINUTES
Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:23 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Schomacker officially called the meeting to order at 8:25 a.m.
HF952 (Kiel) Hearing loss training requirements established for housing with services establishments.
Representative Kiel moved HF952 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.
Representative Kiel moved the DE4-2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Testimony was heard regarding HF952, as amended.
Kathleen Marin, Vice President, Hearing Loss Association of America-Twin Cities Chapter;
Beth Fraser, Commission of Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans.
Representative Kiel renewed her motion that HF952, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1314 (Dean) Telemedicine requirements established.
Representative Dean moved HF1314 be recommended to be re-referred to the General Register.
Representative Dean moved to orally amend HF1314: Page 1, line 1.13, add a comma after “audio”. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF1314, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1517 (Dean) Health care service quality assessment provisions modified.
Representative Dean moved HF1517 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.
Representative Dean moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Dean moved to reconsider the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Dean moved to orally amend the A1 amendment: Page 1, line 1.8, delete the comma after “shall”. Page 1, line 1.9, delete “using the expedited rulemaking process in section 14.389”. Page 2, delete line 2.5. Page 2, delete line 2.6. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
