Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Layman moved the minutes of January 17, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The committee had an informational hearing on energy. The following people presented:

Amber Lee, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs Manager at Minnesota Energy Resources Corp.
Chris Clark, President of Xcel Energy.
Loren Laugtug, Manager of Legislative Affairs at OtterTail Power Company.
Dave McMillan, Executive Vice President of Minnesota Power.
Jim Horan, Director of Government Affairs and Counsel at Minnesota Rural Electric Association.
Bill Black, Government Relations Director at Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association.
Stacey Fujii, Director of Government Relations at Great River Energy.
