MINUTES


Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:16 AM on March 15, 2017 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dehn moved the minutes of the March 14, 2017 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1443 (Loonan) Insurance fraud regulated, penalties and notices modified, term defined, Commerce Fraud Bureau authority to apply for or execute search warrants clarified.

Representative Cornish moved to re-refer HF1443 to the General Register.

Representative Loonan presented HF1443.

Representative Cornish renewed his motion to re-refer HF1443 to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF2068 (Daniels) Antiterrorism grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative O’Neill moved to lay over HF2068 for possible inclusion in the Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.

Representative Cornish moved to re-refer HF1702 to the General Register.

Representative Cornish moved to lay over HF2017 for possible inclusion in the Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.

Representative Cornish moved the 2017A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Clark presented HF2017, as amended.
