MINUTES

Representative Torkelson, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, began the twenty-second meeting at 1:03 P.M. on Thursday, March 16th, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Torkelson began the meeting at 1:03 P.M. A quorum was not present.

HF1657 (Hertaus) Hennepin County; trunk highway project funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Torkelson moved HF1657 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Torkelson moved the H1657A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hertaus introduced the bill.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion that HF1657, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF1844 (Dean) Freight railroad preservation and improvement grants provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Torkelson moved HF1844 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF584 (Consodine) Disability plated issuance authorized to owner of motorized bicycle.

Representative Torkelson moved HF584 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Torkelson moved the A17-0231 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Consodine introduced the bill.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion that HF584, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF1636 (Johnson B.) Isanti County; Trunk Highway 65 segment designated as Chip A. Imker Memorial Highway.

Representative Torkelson moved HF1636 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Johnson introduced the bill.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion that HF1636 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Torkelson amended his that HF1636 be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1570 (Albright) Suburb to suburb transit demonstration project funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Torkelson moved HF1570 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
