MINUTES

A quorum was not present at 9:45 AM and the meeting was called to a recess at 9:50am until the call of the chair.

Representative Bahner, Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM on February 19th, 2020 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bahner assumed chair.

Representative Nash moved to approve minutes for February 13, 2020 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dehn moved HF 3429 (Dehn) to be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations.

HF 3429 (Dehn) A bill for an act relating to elections; various technical and policy changes made.

Representative Dehn testified on the bill.

HF 3006 (Freiberg) Eliminate required legislative approval for spending federal Help America Vote Act funding.

Representative Freiberg testified on the bill.

Chair Dehn moved to adopt amendment H0983A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Elkins testified on the bill as amended.

Chair Dehn renewed motion to re-refer HF 983 (Elkins) as amended to the committee on Government Operations. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
