SUBCOMMITTEE ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT

MINUTES

Representative Masin, Chair of the Subcommittee on Local Government, called the meeting to order at 9:48 AM on March 27th, 2019 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF823 (Nelson) relating to cities; requiring a city, if asked, to provide a written estimate of certain fees to be paid by an applicant for a permit, license, or other approval relating to real estate; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 471.

Representative Nelson presented the bill.

Representative Freiberg moved that HF823 be re-referred back to the Committee on Government Operations. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2501 (Howard) relating to local government; permitting city and town expenditures for city and town historical societies; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 138.053.

Representative Howard presented the bill.

Representative Masin moved that HF2501 be re-referred back to the Committee on Government Operations. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes of March 12, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
