Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. on, Thursday, February 13, 2020, in Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lislegard moved that the minutes of April 11, 2019 and May 23, 2019 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2931 (Layman) Grand Rapids; local sales and use tax authorized

Representative Lislegard moved that HF2931 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2956 (Lueck) Crosslake; local sales and use tax authority modified

Representative Lislegard moved that HF2956 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3022 (Hamilton) Mountain Lake; tax increment financing five-year rule extended to ten years

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3022 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3049 (Dettmer) Property owned by congressionally-chartered veteran organization tax exemption provided

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3049 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3050 (Dettmer) Property owned by congressionally-chartered veteran organization tax exemption provided

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3050 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3114 (Quam) Senior citizens' property tax credit established, and money appropriated

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3114 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3134 (T. Xiong) Oakdale; local sales and use tax authorized

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3134 be re-referred to the Property & Local Tax Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice-Chair Lislegard assumed the gavel at 8:15 A.M.

HF 3023 (Marquart) Like-kind exchange gains or losses recognition over a period of years provided, and additions and subtractions modified

Representative Marquart moved that HF3023 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Lislegard moved the H3023A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Marquart presented HF3023, as amended.
