WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Lyndon Carlson, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:32 A.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Olson moved that the minutes of May 17, 2019 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF2682 (Lillie) Legacy dedicated website funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Lillie moved adoption of the Legacy Division Report for HF2682. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE DIVISION REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lillie moved that HF2682, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Lillie moved the H2682A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lillie presented the bill and answered questions.

Representative Lillie renewed the motion that HF2682, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Chair Carlson made some administrative announcements.

Chair Carlson referred members to the attached memos regarding bill referrals.

The following Ways and Means Committee Bills were referred by memo Monday, May 13, 2019:

RECALLED from the Division on Health and Human Services Finance:
*SF973/HF684 (Mann) University of Minnesota Board of Regents requested to establish advisory council on rare diseases, and money appropriated.

To the Division on Transportation Finance and Policy:
HF2881 (Hornstein) Relating to motor vehicles; requiring the purchase and implementation of a vehicle title and registration system to replace the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS); modifying license plate fees; establishing committees and task forces; requiring reports; appropriating money.

The meeting recessed at 9:46 A.M. and did not reconvene.
