Representative Jean Wagenius, Chair of the Energy and Climate Finance & Policy Division, called the first meeting to order at 9:46 A.M. on, February 5, 2019, in room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Ric O’Connell, Executive Director of GridLab, presented to the committee on Minnesota’s Smarter Grid report.

Rep. Long presented to the committee on HF 700 Extending Minnesota’s Renewable Energy Standard; increasing the proportion of energy that must come from renewable sources and setting target dates by which those goals must be achieved.
