MINUTES

Representative Jean Wagenius, Chair of the Energy and Climate Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:04 P.M. on, February 6, 2020, in room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Introduction to the informational hearing on Minnesota’s businesses leading on conservation and climate innovation by Amy Fredregill, Managing Director of Sustainable Growth Coalition and the Environmental Initiative.

Gayle Schuller, Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at 3M, introduced herself and discussed the sustainability commitments at 3M.

Dan Schibel, Global Sustainability Manager at Aveda, introduced himself and discussed sustainability commitments at Aveda.

Shane Stennes, Director of Sustainability at the University of Minnesota, introduced himself and talked about sustainability practices at the University of Minnesota.

Nick Martin, Energy and Environment Policy Manager for Xcel Energy, introduced himself and talked about the conservation and carbon reduction plans at Xcel.

Jeffrey Seewald, Senior Project Developer at Trane, introduced himself and discussed conservation and climate innovation at Trane.

Kristofer Leaf, Director of Midwest Utility Programs at Wildan Energy Solutions, introduced himself and talked about conservation and climate innovation at Wildan.
