HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:33 P.M. on February 5, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Wolgamott moved that the minutes of January 30, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Minnesota Council on Disability & the PACER Center gave an overview of their programs and needs.

-Joan Wilshire - Executive Director, Minnesota Council on Disability
-Nancy Fitzsimons - Professor, Minnesota State University Mankato
-Barb Ziemke - Co-Director, PACER’s National Parent Center on Transition and Employment
-Mary Hartnett - Executive Director, Commission of Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans

The Minnesota Department of Education gave an overview of the PSEO program

-Mary Barrie – High School to Post-Secondary Initiatives Supervisor
-Kate Lynne Snyder – Director of Government Relations
-Beth Barsness – High School Specialist
-Mark Grant – Professor, Dakota County Technical College

The meeting was adjourned at 3:59 P.M.
