MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:35 P.M. on April 2, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Poppe moved the minutes from March 27, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 405 (Koegel) – Anoka Technical College fabrication lab grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

-Matt Rogers – Machine Trades Instructor, Anoka Technical College

Representative Bernardy moved HF 405 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. THE BILL IS LAID OVER.

HF 434 (Noor) – Teacher candidates of color financial aid provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved HF 434 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Bernardy moved amendment A19-1143 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Representative Wolgamott moved HF 2730 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Wolgamott moved amendment A19-0334 be adopted.

Representative Quam moved a comma be inserted into A19-0334, line 1.2 after “to faculty.” THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Representative Wolgamott renewed the motion amendment A19-0334, as amended, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILS.
