MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:02 AM, February 28, 2019 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 26th, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 27th, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 353 (Murphy); A bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for equipment grants to public television stations.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 353, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, with a recommendation that it be referred to the Capital Investment Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 140 (Moran); A bill for an act relating to cosmetology; exempting hair braiders from cosmetology registration requirements.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 140 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 1358 (Elkins); A bill for an act relating to state government; appropriating money for grants to cities and counties to improve website accessibility.

Representative Elkins moved that HF 1358 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 1358 was held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 187 (Lucero); A bill for an act relating to state government; requiring the state auditor to reimburse the legal costs of Wright, Becker, and Ramsey Counties; regulating the use of certain appropriations by the state auditor for litigation expenses.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 187 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

Chair Nelson moved to adopt Amendment A19-0057. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
