MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:31am on January 28, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Wolgamott moved that the minutes from January 27, 2021 be approved. Motion prevailed.

HF 4 (Hassan) Includes provisions designed to assist students and school systems adversely affected by COVID-19, including: calculating general education revenue for FY 2021 on the greater of the pupil units for FY 2020 or FY 2021; authorizing funding for extended time programs, including summer school, according to a plan adopted by school boards; providing enhanced services for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) outside of the IEP process; and appropriating state aid for a variety of onetime programs.

Rep. Hassan presented HF 4 in an informational hearing to the committee.
