MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30am on February 16, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcasted via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Sandstede moved that the minutes from February 15, 2022 be approved. Motion prevailed.

Presentation on the history of Collaborative Urban and Greater Minnesota Educators of Color (CUGMEC) Grant Program.

HF 3079 (Rep. Hassan) Educator support, crisis online learning, and short-call substitute teacher pilot.

Rep. Richardson moved that HF 3079 be presented before the committee; be laid over for further consideration.

Rep. Hassan presented HF 3079 before the committee.


DE2 Amendment (Rep. Demuth)

Rep. Demuth moved that the DE2 amendment to HF 3079 be presented before the committee.

Rep. Demuth withdrew the DE2 amendment.

Rep. Richardson renewed the motion that HF 3079 be laid over for possible inclusion or for further consideration at a later date.
